The genius of Mr Jon Dolan

I have four loves in my life and the picture below combines them all

It’s no secret to fans of our books that I’m a huuuge fan of the Hellraiser films – every time Howard turns away and I write a piece of Colin Weird’s insanity, it’s inspired by the Hellraiser films – oh joy!

I’m also a huuuge fans of The Beatles. What! A scouser who loves The Beatles? Surely not! Actually one of my earliest memories is my Dad driving his van, to buy fruit and veg for the shop he had at the time and he was singing From Me to You, happy times

Number three, I acknowledge my dark sense of humour

Number four, Jon Dolan’s amazing artwork, which has meant sooo much to me and Howard.

So, recently, I was deeply engaged in a mission to get pissed in The Philharmonic pub in Liverpool, with the aforementioned Mr Dolan mlud. When I discussed with him a certain lyric written by John Lennon in 1965, in the song Girl from the album Rubber Soul, and how it parallels with the Lead Cenobite himself and his statement that Cenobites – the demons of the franchise – exist on the border between pain and pleasure.

Mr Dolan took this thought away and presented me today with the picture below.

Oh my god! I love this so much!

Thank you Jon x
